First SIAL America to Launch March 2022 in Las Vegas

LAS VEGAS — Hoping to take a bite out of the approximately $1.5 trillion U.S. food and beverage market, SIAL America, a major food exposition, will debut in Las Vegas in March 2022. Emerald Holding is partnering with Comexposium to launch SIAL America, which will showcase all food and beverage categories to key importers, food service companies, distributors, retailers and wholesalers.

“SIAL America underscores the ever-increasing importance in creating a single event for the food industry here in the United States and provides a much-needed opportunity for the sector and for the industry,” Hervé Sedky, President and Chief Executive Officer, Emerald, said at a recent media conference at the International Pizza Expo and Conference at the Las Vegas Convention Center. Although the partnership news was shared in June, this was the official announcement when representatives could come together.

“This partnership underscores the ever-increasing importance of creating a single event for the food industry. Emerald and Comexposium share a vision of providing new opportunities for our customers to grow and innovate, which is very exciting for our industry as a whole,” Jessica Blue, Executive Vice President, Emerald, said.

The menu calls for SIAL America’s inauguration on March 22–24, 2022 at the Las Vegas Convention Center (LVCC). It will be co-located with Emerald’s International Pizza Expo and International Artisan Bakery Expo.

“I want to emphasize we’re in this for a longer game — no doubt, we’ll build a large show,” Steve Corrick, CEO, North America at Comexposium, said. “But more than that we’re building a comprehensive show around content, around inspiration, around the best of what American food has to offer, complimenting that with the best of global food and bringing international pavilions and attendees from around the world.”

SIAL America will join other SIAL global locations including France, Canada, the UAE, India, China, Algeria and Indonesia, serving more than 700,000 attendees and 16,000 exhibitors each year.
