Santa Cruz, CA – Financial Research Associates LLC (FRA), organizers of highly specialized conferences in the finance and healthcare sectors, has been acquired by Britain’s Wilmington plc for $20.6 million.
“FRA is a quality business with excellent market positions,” said Wilmington CEO Pedro Ros. “This earnings-enhancing acquisition provides Wilmington with new networking opportunities and capabilities within our financial and healthcare areas.”
FRA, based in Santa Cruz, CA, has a portfolio of 80 events and provides Wilmington with a wider international audience. Wilmington is considering opportunities to expand FRA’s brand overseas. FRA also has a database of financial professionals numbering around 900,000 names as well as 300,000 healthcare contacts.
Wilmington also plans to tie FRA in with its existing Compliance Week conference.
