NEW YORK CITY — The Events Venture Group (EVG) announced a strategic investment of $750,000 in Stablecon, a gathering for leaders at the intersection of stablecoin innovation, economic policy and financial infrastructure.
The event, founded by Nik Milanović and launched in May 2025 in New York City, featured more than 2,000 attendees, more than 1,000 C-Suite leaders and more than 200 speakers.
EVG’s investment will power an international expansion through Stablecon EMEA, taking place May 19–20, 2026, in Amsterdam.
“EVG was created precisely to back founders like Nik — visionary operators who combine creativity with discipline shaping the future of live experiences,” Marilú Páez, EVG Co-Founder and Managing Director, explained. “Our investment isn’t just financial; it’s strategic. We’re surrounding Stablecon with the collective experience of event builders who’ve scaled global platforms like Money20/20 and HLTH. Together, we’re helping Nik build not just a conference, but a long-term brand and business that sits at the heart of the global stablecoin evolution.”

“At EVG, we’re backing exceptional founders and providing them with strategic support, creating a blueprint for sustainable growth in this space,” Monique Ruff-Bell, Chief Program & Strategy Officer, TED, said. “The events industry has always been the connective tissue for innovation and deal flow across every sector, and we are showcasing that through our investments.”
“Super excited to back Nik and Stablecon through EVG,” Marco Giberti, Founder and CEO of Vesuvio Ventures, said. “We believe the events category is being redefined by visionary operators who think differently and Stablecon is a great example of how innovation and discipline can coexist in this space.”
“At the earliest stages, I always bet on people first,” Jon Weiner, Founder Chairman and CEO of HLTH, added. “Business models pivot — great founders don’t. What excites me about Stablecon is Nik’s ability to attract talent, raise capital and adapt fast. That’s the kind of founder who turns bold ideas into enduring companies.”

A Powerful Move at the Right Time
According to Páez, Stablecon stands out because it brings together two worlds that rarely converge: financial infrastructure and live convening.

“Few industries are evolving as fast as stablecoins, and Stablecon has quickly become the niche forum for the brightest minds shaping that evolution (first mover advantage done right),” Páez said. “Every industry — from finance to wellness — relies on in-person convening to share knowledge and create deal flow, yet few have treated these gatherings as investable assets. Stablecon, led by a founder like Nik, represents exactly the kind of sustainable, high-impact event business EVG was built to champion.”
A Global Future
“The stablecoin ecosystem is fundamentally global,” Páez added. “What happens in Europe or Asia influences innovation in the U.S., and vice versa. Launching EMEA is a natural next step to connect these regional perspectives. Amsterdam, with its strong fintech ecosystem and progressive policy environment, is the perfect hub to bring together regulators, builders and institutions from across Europe, the Middle East and Africa to shape the future of digital money.”
Páez shared that Stablecon is just getting started.
“We see it evolving into a year-round platform not only hosting leading global gatherings but also driving education, policy dialogue and partnership formation across the digital payments space. For EVG, this is exactly the blueprint we’re building toward: turning exceptional events into scalable, investable assets that have real industry impact. Our future lies in supporting more founders like Nik who are redefining what an ‘event’ can be and exit strong,” Páez said.
