NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Endeavor Business Media has acquired more than 20 media brands from Informa PLC, including much of Informa’s industry & infrastructure and auto aftermarket portfolio. No financial terms were disclosed for the deal, which involves 23 magazine titles, numerous digital brands and seven live events.
“The acquisition of these events increases our event portfolio within Endeavor significantly,” said Chris Ferrell, CEO of Endeavor Business Media. “We are keen to grow this sector of our business, and this seemed like an ideal opportunity to do so in markets that were closely related to our own. We are anxious to get started on working with the strong event teams and event brands coming over and are keen to see what opportunities a growing events division will have for the company.”

The deal with Informa comes nine months after Endeavor doubled its portfolio by acquiring more than 20 former PennWell brands from UK-based Clarion Events. According to Endeavor, the company now owns more than 80 print and digital media brands and 59 live events across 16 industries, with more than 600 employees in corporate offices around the U.S. The company was founded two years ago by Ferrell, the former CEO of SouthComm.
