Emerald Expositions Launches Rebrand

SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO, Calif. — Emerald Expositions Events, Inc. on announced the launch of its new brand identity, vision and corporate website (www.emeraldx.com).

The company also stated its intent to change its name to Emerald Holding, Inc. These changes reflect Emerald’s ongoing evolution and core commitment to customer-centric market platforms that integrate live events, community-relevant content and data-focused solutions, said Brian Field, Emerald’s Interim President and CEO.

“As our portfolio of events and services has advanced, we have now evolved the Emerald brand to better reflect who we are — a company fully immersed in the industries we serve and committed to supporting the communities in which our customers operate,” Field said.

The company’s new website includes enhanced content and a more streamlined, easy-to-navigate design. A new corporate logo (above) has also been launched to mark the company’s rebrand.

Emerald Expositions, a publicly traded company since 2017 (NYSE:EEX), annually organizes more than 140 business-to-business events, including 55 trade shows, in business sectors that range from jewelry and fashion to technology, design and construction.

The company has been in rebuild mode for much of 2019. Sally Shankland, who was named CEO and President in June 2019, initiated a new strategic plan to restore the company’s organic growth and brought in new executive leadership, including Field as COO. In December, Shankland stepped down from her post for health reasons but continues to serve as Executive Chairman and Senior Advisor.

“Our goal is to understand the issues our customers face and develop meaningful solutions that help them overcome their challenges and achieve success,” Field said. “Our business is to build our customers’ businesses through experiences that inspire, amaze, and deliver breakthrough results.”

In Trade Show Executive’s February cover story and TSE Talks podcast, Emerald Executive Vice President Karalynn Sprouse talks about how the company is focused on four key areas: customer satisfaction, diversifying revenue streams, operating much more effectively and efficiently, and continuing to pursue attractive tuck-in acquisitions.
