PORTLAND, Maine — Diversified Communications has purchased Energy Storage North America (ESNA) from producer ESNA EXPO LLC. The show will be co-located with Diversified’s Intersolar North America (ISNA) in January 2021. These moves will strengthen the company’s market position in the renewables and energy-storage sectors, said Oakley R. Dyer, Diversified’s Corporate Vice President, Strategy & Corporate Development.
“Energy Storage North America is a perfect fit to bring alongside our Intersolar North America event, which we acquired at this time last year,” Dyer said. “We believe the co-location of ESNA and ISNA will bolster both events and give attendees and exhibitors an even greater opportunity to connect, share and learn.” He noted that over the past two years energy storage has accounted for more than 30 percent of ISNA’s exhibition segments, and the number of educational sessions on the topic has increased to address growing demand.
“We’re excited to add ESNA as a co-located event with Intersolar North America,” Wes Doane, Intersolar North America Event Director, said. “Their unification reflects the consolidation occurring across the board as the solar, energy-storage and e-mobility industries mature – and improves our competitive advantage in a fast-moving marketplace. ISNA and ESNA attendees will now benefit through access to best-in-class content, an innovative and larger exhibition and an ever-expanding networking platform.”
In addition to acquiring three solar and energy-storage industry events from the Intersolar portfolio last year, Diversified Communications also owns and operates a 1.5 megawatt solar farm in Brunswick, Maine. “Renewables and energy storage are sectors that are of particular interest to Diversified,” Dyer said. “We will continue to look for acquisition and organic launch opportunities that are beneficial to the industry.”
ESNA will join ISNA at the Long Beach Convention Center in Long Beach, Calif., Jan. 12-14, 2021.
