Chicago, IL – Dan Corcoran was named Chief Operating Officer of Corcoran Expositions, Inc. and will continue as the head of the company’s sales team. Corcoran joined the family-owned firm in 2009 and was named Sales Director in 2011.
Corcoran’s promotion gives him oversight over day-to-day operations. He will also take a wide-range look at the entire company to seek out cross-department efficiencies and new opportunities. “I will be working with our outstanding directors and managers to ensure that Corcoran Expositions continues to deliver a cutting edge product with the best customer service in the industry,” he said.
Corcoran provides sales, show management and consulting services to event owners and has been involved with some 700 different shows over the years. Corcoran Expositions managed two shows that appeared on the latest Trade Show Executive Fastest 50 list of fastest-growing exhibitions: The 2015 American Epilepsy Society Annual Meeting and the International City/County Management Association (ICMA) Annual Conference & Exposition. Prior to that, three shows managed by Corcoran made the rankings: the 2014 American Epilepsy Society Annual Meeting; the Congress of Neurological Surgeons Annual Meeting; and the National League of Cities Congress of Cities and Exposition.
