SHELTON, Conn. — Clarion Events announced the creation of UCX USA, a new event in the unified communications and collaboration industry (UC&C). Building connections and revolutionizing work and customer tech are the focus of the inaugural event.
“We spent over a year conducting validation research with prospective attendees, end-users and sponsors in order to determine if a void existed in meeting their needs, whether it was event design or simply challenges they face in their daily life or on the horizon,” Clarion Event’s Portfolio Director Angela Harar said. “We identified for end-users there is a vacuum in which to interact with their peers in meaningful conversations. For sponsors, securing quality conversations with qualified buyers is a struggle. We have several opportunities to address those needs through agnostic thought leadership and peer-led roundtable discussions coupled with the ability to engage directly with experts in specific core competencies.”
UCX USA will be held at The Fairmont in Austin, Texas, Sept. 13-14, 2023, showcasing more than 40 employee and customer experience technologies companies. Since 2011, Clarion Events has owned UCX Europe, another communications and collaboration event that draws more than 8,000 attendees and 100 exhibitors from global brands.
While the new U.S. event will have similarities to the U.K. events, including actionable education and customizable stands, UCX USA will offer sponsorship packages developed for any budget, matchmaking, 1:2:1 meetings and the addition of a world-class Advisory Board and Education Task Force. UCX USA will also feature the introduction of Ask the eXperts, which allows attendees access to analysts, consultants and industry leaders to address their specific needs.
Endorsed by the Interactive Multimedia and collaborative Communications Alliance and supported by The Society of Communications Technology Consultants, AV User Group and UC Today, UCX USA will attract a qualified audience, and with guidance from their Advisory Board of leading end-users, analysts, supporters and vendors to organizational challenges for communications and collaboration professionals.
“Research with hundreds of decision makers and stakeholders involved in buying and integrating UC&C solutions make these events perfectly aligned to the biggest organizational challenges of the day which then attracts a highly qualified and engaged audience for our sponsors,” Harar said. “Within a month, 75% of our EU exhibitors have already rebooked into next year’s show and during this process, they asked to launch in the U.S. – something different, something experiential and something that guarantees value.”
UCX USA, targeted at IT decision makers, has already received early sponsorship commitments from BIAMP, which provides innovative audiovisual solutions, BlueJeans by Verizon, a video conferencing platform, and audio solutions and products provider QSC , along with AudioCodes, Symitry Yealink and Barco.
The event will feature 50 speakers and more than 500 meetings, and it will have more than 600 companies represented, while providing a platform for branded manufacturers, business leaders, startups, technology companies, investors and analysts to learn, network and evolve.
“It’s important for attendees to achieve several aha moments and actionable takeaway, develop new relationships and a build a community, and engage in curated meetings alongside hands-on demonstrations with the leading UC&C vendors to find solutions necessary to successfully impact their careers and organizations,” Harar said.
