Cambridge, MA – Jack Chalden has been named managing director of the International Economic Alliance (IEA), a prestigious not-for-profit organization located at Harvard University. Chalden will manage the IEA staff and events as well as alliances with global business and finance leaders and prime ministers and heads of state.
The IEA organizes an extensive calendar of conferences featuring high-ranking government officials, scholars and business leaders from around the world. Its mission is to develop business initiatives through personal interaction among influential leaders.
Chalden is himself a long-time leader in the trade show industry. He led association and event teams for major trade shows in the construction, electronics, retail and telecommunications sectors including SUPERCOMM, Atlanta Market Center and World of Concrete. Chalden is also a member of Trade Show Executive’s Economic Forecasting Board. He is a past member of the board of directors of the International Association of Exhibitions and Events (IAEE).
