Informa Markets Construction Collaborates To Launch Build Show LIVE

AUSTIN, Texas — Informa Markets Construction and The Build Show are collaborating to launch Build Show LIVE, an event focused on content serving the residential home building industry, taking place Nov. 7-9, 2024, at the Austin Convention Center.

The Build Show, which is a video storytelling platform for the residential construction workforce, has a following of more than 1.7 million people across its Instagram, YouTube and podcast channels, and attracts more than 5 million monthly video views on average. The platform provides residential construction professionals with information on new products and solutions, as well as building science knowledge and entertainment.

“The Build Show audience is highly engaged and rapidly growing, and there is a significant demand for a live, in-person event,” said Sue Pino, Show Director of Build Show LIVE and JLC LIVE at Informa Markets. “When we discussed the possibility of introducing a new construction event, Informa Markets conducted an extensive survey and found two key themes across the audience: their need to find suppliers, tools and products that meet project-specific goals and a desire for quality education to build innovative, high-performing, energy efficient and cost-effective homes.”

Recognizing the industry’s demand for more educational content, The Build Show and Informa have developed a robust educational program that includes hands-on training, on-floor building clinics, conference sessions and demonstrations from experts in the field. Top manufacturers in the industry will also have their tools, products and solutions displayed on the show floor.

“We continue to prioritize and listen to our audience of attendees and experts to provide the most crucial takeaways to our community whether that’s education, connections or tactical and tangible skills and techniques. The demand for hands-on demonstrations of new methods of construction, material handling, repairs and more, remain the top priorities for the residential construction community,” Pino said.

By demonstrating problem-solving scenarios on the show floor, attendees leave with more than just the skills to solve challenges they face in day-to-day work, it allows them to practice and refine their skills in a constructive real-world environment. Informa’s goal in offering these kinds of learning experiences is to help professionals advance their own businesses.

The choice to hold the show in Austin for its inaugural year is intentional, as the residential construction industry in the state is booming. According to Statista, Texas was the No. 1 state for residential building permits in 2022.

“Many company headquarters continue to relocate to different areas within the state, which is why there is an increased demand for housing,” Pino said. “Texas is also home to two of the nation’s top ten building material distributors. With Matt Risinger, Creator and Founder of The Build Show and CEO of Risinger Homes, and Informa Markets’ combined knowledge of the local and regional landscape, plus opportunities for job site walkthroughs led by Matt Risinger and The Build Show experts, there is no better place for Build Show LIVE to kick-off.”
