Chicago – Chris Bowers has resigned his position as CEO of the Chicago Convention & Tourism Bureau (CCTB) to accept a position as Senior Vice President, Sales and Marketing, of NES Rental Holdings, Inc.  He will leave the bureau in August. A search for his replacement will begin immediately, according to Phil Stefani, CCTB’s Chairman of the Board.

Bowers has been with the CCTB for 16 months, during which time he is credited with developing new business, reorganizing the bureau’s operations and stabilizing funding. Stefani noted that the direction set by Bowers will continue. Bowers says he was honored to be a part of Chicago’s hospitality industry, but the position with NES was one he could not refuse.
