Autumn Gale Blows Through Midwest Convention Cities

HIL ANDERSON, SENIOR EDITOR

Chicago, IL –  A fast-moving Fall storm roared through the Midwest October 26, but caused little disruption to the region’s trade show calendar.

The greatest impact was from scattered power outages and airport delays in Chicago, Detroit, Cincinnati and Indianapolis. More than 300 flights were reported cancelled at O’Hare International Airport, and the FAA reported delays late in the day from Minneapolis to Philadelphia and New York. There were no immediate reports of any damage to convention centers in the path of the storm. The weather system moved into the East Coast during the night.
