London, England – Clarion Events Managing Director Kent Allen has split from the company, in a second high-level change to rock the UK exhibitions industry today, according to Exhibition World (EW), global news partner with Trade Show Executive. Clarion organizes nearly 100 shows and is one of the world’s leading organizers of defense and security exhibitions, having acquired Defence & Security Equipment International (DSEi), ITEC and Undersea Defence Technology from Reed Exhibitions in May 2008. Clarion confirmed Allen’s departure to EW, but was unwilling to provide further detail at this stage. Earlier today it was reported that Clarion cancelled its inaugural Garden Expo 2010 just 87 days ahead of the show, due to a lack of industry interest.
