CHICAGO — JDC Events and Lexipol Media Group announced a strategic partnership to cohost the Equipped Mid-Atlantic Technology Summit 2025. The event brings together leaders in the public safety industry to advance the sector through emerging technologies and best practices.

This year’s event will take place on Aug. 21 at the Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center in Washington, D.C., and will be organized under the theme “Powering the Next Generation of Emergency Response.”

Trade Show Executive caught up with Jennifer D. Collins, CMP, President and CEO of JDC Events, to talk about the partnership and what’s to come for the Equipped Mid-Atlantic Technology Summit.

How the Partnership Came to Life

Lexipol Media Group quickly emerged as the right candidate for this partnership.

“Equipped was created during the pandemic in direct response to the immense pressure placed on first responders,” Collins said. “Recognizing the need for connection and support, we set out to build a platform that would bring public safety professionals together through engaging events, hands-on workshops, and opportunities to build lasting networks.

“To grow that mission and broaden our reach, we knew collaboration would be key. We searched for a partner with established credibility in public safety, including an organization with established expertise, training resources, and a strong voice in the industry. Lexipol Media Group quickly emerged as the ideal fit.”

Through months of dialogue between JDC Events and Lexipol Media Group, ideas and goals were shared and ways that the organizations could complement each other were explored.

“These conversations revealed a shared commitment to public safety and a mutual drive to elevate the experience for our audiences,” Collins said. “The result: A powerful partnership between JDC Events and Lexipol Media Group, built to deliver events that educate, inspire and create real impact.”

An Exciting Fit

“By partnering with Lexipol Media Group — a trusted authority in public safety that delivers essential news, best practices and thought leadership to millions of first responders — we elevate our ability to design programs that are both highly relevant and far-reaching,” Collins said. “Together, we’re uniquely positioned to create expansive, wide-ranging initiatives that serve the varied needs of the public safety community with precision and purpose.

“What really makes Equipped unique is that it brings together all areas of public safety – Law Enforcement, Fire, EMS — so it’s not just one perspective. That’s why our work with Lexipol Media Group is such a great fit. We’re aligned in our mission, which makes the content more powerful and helps us reach even more public safety leaders, first responders, tech innovators and sponsors. It also gives us room to grow in exciting ways. We’re looking at new formats, fresh voices and elevating topics that really matter like wellness, funding and the tools responders need to do their jobs better. There’s so much potential and we’re just getting started.”

Part of the partnership’s mission is to deliver sponsorship opportunities.

Delivering Innovative Event and Media Sponsorship Opportunities

Part of the partnership’s mission is to deliver sponsorship opportunities, and Collins shared they are doing this by designing an immersive and interactive experience that prioritizes learning, relevance and real-world impact, while focusing on what drives the first responder and public safety community.

“Our event format is intentionally structured to feature high-value presentations and live demonstrations centered on emerging technology, safety and wellness challenges,” Collins said. “Select sponsorship tiers offer a powerful platform for organizations to showcase transformational thought leadership, spotlighting real scenarios where their technology improved crisis outcomes or elevated departmental capabilities.”

Along with the presentations and live demos, the event will have curated one-to-one meetings where attendees will get to experience the technology through hands-on demos and engage in meaningful dialogue and informed decision-making while forming long-term connections.

“Additionally, our sponsors will have the opportunity to amplify their message far beyond the event by leveraging the unparalleled reach of Lexipol Media Group, connecting with millions of first responders and public safety professionals nationwide,” Collins said. “This isn’t just another technology summit, it’s a strategic convergence of innovation, influence and impact.”

Executing a Curated Event Strategy

“At JDC Events, we specialize in designing transformative event experiences that do more than just engage — they connect organizations with new audiences, elevate brand visibility and accelerate mission-driven outcomes,” Collins said. “Through this partnership, we will deliver a curated event strategy that speaks directly to public safety leaders, captures their attention and motivates them to take meaningful action.”

Support from JDC Events will include every part of the event lifecycle from program design to audience acquisition to facilitating connections to measuring outcomes.

“We take a comprehensive approach to exhibitor and sponsor recruitment and management, building meaningful relationships that add value and amplify impact. Our coordination of one-on-one meetings enables purposeful, high-impact connections, while our creative approach to event design and production ensures a seamless, immersive experience that reflects our mission and brand,” Collins said. “We also manage all operational details remaining focused on our objectives, while using data analytics to measure outcomes and provide insights that inform smarter decisions and future success.”
