SINGAPORE — Diversified Communications’ Seafood Expo Asia reported its largest international representation of exhibitors to date this year.

International seafood and seafood processing equipment exhibitors from 46 countries visited the event, which was held Sept. 4-6 at Sands Expo and Convention Centre and visited by 4,417 seafood professionals from 80 countries in 2024.

According to Wynter Courmont, Vice President of Seafood at Diversified Communications, the event’s move from Hong Kong to Singapore three years ago helped drive this growth in addition to sales and marketing efforts.

“Singapore is a leading international business hub with an open and trade-driven economy,” Courmont said. “We have built strategic relationships with seafood companies around the world as organizers of the largest seafood trade show in the world, Seafood Expo Global/Seafood Processing Global in Barcelona, and the largest seafood trade show in North America, Seafood Expo North America/Seafood Processing North America in Boston.”

China had the most representation at the show, followed by Japan, Singapore, Canada, Vietnam, Taiwan, India, Norway, Spain and the U.S.

Australia, Azerbaijan, Chile, Ecuador, France, South Africa and more countries were also represented.

“One reason a country will have a large number of exhibitors at the event is the opportunity it offers for companies to enter new markets and expand relationships in their current markets,” Courmont explained. “International exhibitors who want a strategic position in the Asian market, and to forge new partnerships, build close relationships and present their latest innovations and offerings to buyers in the Asian market, find value in the event.

“One of the key benefits for international companies to exhibit at Seafood Expo Asia is the dedicated business matchmaking program, which enables face-to-face meetings between international exhibitors and buyers from across Asia. International companies rely on this networking opportunity and the three-day event to achieve their annual business goals and build strategic relationships in the Asian market.”

Exhibitors also had the opportunity to be featured in a Product Showcase and the show’s Seafood Excellence Asia Awards celebrated leading offerings.

“We received extensive positive feedback from exhibitors at this year’s event, highlighting that Seafood Expo Asia remains a valuable platform for expanding their business in the Asian market,” Courmont added. “Exhibitors appreciate that our event offers a dedicated space for networking, conducting business and exploring new seafood products, equipment and services in-person.”

The next Seafood Expo Asia will be held Sept. 10-12, 2025, in Singapore.
