CHICAGO — PCMA continues to expand its reach in the Asia-Pacific (APAC), Europe, Middle East, Africa (EMEA) and Latin America (LATAM) regions.
Florence (Flo) Chua has been named Managing Director, APAC, with the goal of expanding upon the momentum of region-specific events, thought leadership, community building, education and content. Chua, who will be based in Singapore, has more than 20 years of experience working with corporations and associations throughout the region. Karen Bolinger, who has been acting as Managing Director on a consulting basis since April 2020 and launched the inaugural Convening APAC in Singapore earlier this year, will continue working with Chua on special projects.
“The COVID-19 pandemic has leapfrogged the business events industry in embracing technology to facilitate connections and engagement,” Chua said. “I believe the industry will attain new heights in harnessing the physical and digital possibilities to enable more connections across wider geographical spread, deeper engagement and more sustainable approaches than ever before.”

Right now, the association only has one established chapter, in Mexico City. Vaquero has more than 20 years of experience in the LATAM MICE industry, most recently as LATAM Business Development Director for MCI LATAM. He will be based in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
In the EMEA region, Jaime Bennett was named Regional Director in September 2020 and is based in Belfast. Convening EMEA will be held October 17–19 in Lausanne, Switzerland, and will be an omnichannel event.
