Wehmeir Joins AMCI as Executive VP

Alexandria, VA – Tina Wehmeir, CMP, has been named executive vice president for the Association Management Company Institute (AMCI), which is managed by Talley Management Group, Inc. (TMG).  Most recently,Wehmeir served as president of Precision Meetings and Events. Before that, she was senior vice president for the Institute for Food Technology for two years and held a senior management position with TMG for five years. In addition, Wehmeir worked for several major hotel chains and the Canadian Tourism Council in sales and marketing.

AMCI represents the association management company industry with members in the U.S., Canada, Europe and Asia. AMCI will hold its 50th Anniversary Annual Meeting February 13-15, 2013, in St. Pete Beach, FL.

“I understand and am excited by the AMC model and look forward to bringing my skills to help the AMC Institute implement their strategic plan and continue to grow,” said Wehmeir. “I am particularly interested in the new marketing campaign launched this summer and my ability to contribute to its roll out and evolution.”

On December 1, Wehmeir will join AMCI, when it moves its offices to TMG’s Alexandria, VA location. TMG manages 20 national and international professional societies and associations.
