ST. LOUIS — Ungerboeck has been named the new event management solution for the International Housewares Association. The IHA represents more than 1,700 member companies and sponsors the International Home + Housewares Show, which ranked No. 13 on Trade Show Executive’s 2017 Gold 100 list, with nearly 813,000 net square feet.
“We wanted a turnkey system that will provide IHA with streamlined operations to increase productivity and improved reporting with data analytics,” said Dean P. Kurtis, IHA’s Vice President of Finance and Information Technology.
Ungerboeck’s system replaces an in-house one that’s been in place for nearly two decades. “As we look to further the mission of our members, we needed to replace the homegrown membership and exhibit system that had become the backbone of our organization,” Kurtis said.
Perhaps most notably, Underboeck’s President and CEO Manish Chandak explained that his company will operate the IHH show with the only CRM designed specifically for selling exhibits and sponsorships, including sales opportunities, and an integrated floor plan.
“While a lot of exhibition organizers struggle rationalizing and integrating a variety of technologies they buy,” Chandak told Trade Show Executive, “we simply offer all that a show organizer needs, from CRM to floor plan to sponsorship portals to orders and financial in one suite. In today’s world, show organizers want to buy a cloud system that is designed for them, and one that just works end-to-end and gives them insight so that they can put their focus on the show.”
