Sao Paulo, Brazil – Two divisions of UBM Business Media will be working together next year to launch a high-tech event in Sao Paulo. UBM Brazil and U.S.-based EE Times Group are organizing a Brazilian edition of EE Times Group’s Embedded Systems Conference (ESC) in Sao Paulo. ESC Brazil will take place May 24-25 at the Novotel Centre Norte.
“ESC Brazil will broaden our presence in the South American electronic design and semiconductor industry,” said David Blaza, vice president of events for EE Times Group. “It also enhances our existing portfolio of events for the electronics industry.”
The ESC portfolio currently consists of five other shows held in the U.S., India and Great Britain. Earlier this year, EE Times partnered with Reed Exhibitions for the October 20-21 launch of Embedded Live Exhibition and Conference in London.
UBM Brazil has expanded to more than 80 events since 1994. The latest acquisition took place in June when United Business Media signed an agreement to acquire a 60% interest in the Brazilian shipbuilding exhibition Navalshore from its private owners.
