The American Pet Products Association (APPA) announced the retirement of President and CEO Steve King, effective December 31, 2021. APPA’s board of directors has initiated a nationwide search, with Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer Andrew Darmohraj, CAE, filling in as interim CEO until the board can fill the position permanently. King joined APPA in 2019, and as President and CEO he helped guide the association and pet care community through the impacts of COVID-19. Prior to APPA, King served as President of the Pet Industry Distributors Association (PIDA).
