David Whitaker

David Whitaker will be returning to The Greater Miami Convention Center & Visitors Bureau (GMCVB) as President & CEO on August 16. Whitaker previously served the GMCVB team for 17 years, most recently as Executive Vice President & Chief Marketing Officer. Whitaker left Miami to serve as President & CEO of Tourism Toronto (now Destination Toronto) for eight years, most recently serving as President & CEO of Choose Chicago since 2016. Whitaker will be replacing current GMCVB President of 20 years, Bill Talbert, who is stepping down to a consulting role to ensure a smooth transition.
