CHICAGO — The Greater Miami Convention & Visitors Bureau is set to host top trade show organizers of the 50 fastest-growing U.S. trade shows May 1-3 of next year for Trade Show Executive’s Fastest 50 Awards & Summit. The annual trade show industry event is part education, part celebration—and a total networking opportunity for industry leaders set against the beautiful back drop of one of the hottest cities in the world.

The elite group of the healthiest, growing trade shows and business events in America is chosen based on data compiled by Trade Show Executive (TSE) that focuses on three categories: exhibit space sold, number of event attendees and number of trade show exhibitors. Highlights of the three-day event include a robust educational program, networking at various bespoke receptions and, of course, glamor at the red carpet awards celebration, where honorees will receive top awards emblazoned with the Fastest 50 logo.

For all attendees of Trade Show Executive’s Fastest 50 Awards & Summit, the event will also be a long-awaited celebration of the business events industry, which roared back to life in 2022.

“The privilege and opportunity of hosting Trade Show Executive’s Fastest 50 represents a double-win for us.” Greater Miami Convention & Visitors Bureau President & CEO David Whitaker said.  “It will give us the opportunity to introduce these emerging entities to our newly reimagined and significantly expanded Miami Beach Convention Center as well as reintroduce them to one of the fastest growing and evolving destinations in North America. Winners in the race to Fastest 50 represent some of our industry’s most diverse and innovative show organizers. Successful shows thrive best in communities that match that innovation and Miami provides that platform.

More than150 U.S.-based business events and trade show organizers and suppliers are expected to converge on the Miami Beach Convention Center and host hotel, Loews Miami Beach.

“We are grateful to David and his team at the Greater Miami Convention & Visitors Bureau to have this opportunity to showcase the beautiful city of Miami. The Greater Miami region and stunning convention center have much to offer our attendees and our readers,” Gabrielle Weiss, Vice President and Editor-in-Chief of Trade Show Executive, said. The 2023 Fastest 50 awards celebration is set to be an incredible celebration. “2022 has seen the business events industry blast off, and our research finds shows returning in triple digits. We’re excited to celebrate the significant rebound experienced by this exclusive group.”

How it works: TSE gathers data on trade shows through the United States every month from show organizers and computes which trade shows are growing in robust ways by comparing key metrics y/y. The TSE Research team then identifies TSE’s Fastest 50 growing shows and the Next 50 group of shows which are climbing to the top of the list. Show organizers are encouraged to submit their information for their 2022 show and can fill out the application here. Honorees will be announced in February.
