TSE Alerts Readers About Solicitations for Award Plaques

DANICA TORMOHLEN, EDITOR-AT-LARGE

Oceanside, CA – A company not affiliated with Trade Show Executive Media Group continues to  send solicitations to honorees of Trade Show Executive’s Gold 100 and Fastest 50, as well as general managers featured in the World’s Top Convention Centers Directory and CEO’s in Who’s Who among General and Specialty Service  Contractors.

“American Registry is selling customized plaques that look official, but we would like to emphasize that they are not affiliated with our organization nor have we authorized them to solicit the honorees. Furthermore, we have not provided them with the list of honorees, artwork or logos,” said Darlene Gudea, president, Trade Show Executive Media Group.

The company runs extensive promotional campaigns, generally by fax, with an image of the finished plaque to award winners.  If you read the fine print, they typically state that they are a recognition company not affiliated with Trade Show Executive. They provide this service to award winners in other industries as well, not only to Trade Show Executive‘s honorees or to the trade show industry.

TSE award winners can decide independently if they want to purchase plaques from American Registry. Trade Show Executive sends official plaques to Gold 100 and Fastest 50 winners at no charge. Additional plaques can be purchased by contacting Kathleen Maloney, Creative Director, at (760) 630-9106 or kmaloney@tradeshowexecutive.com
