MADDY RYLEY, MANAGING EDITOR

CHICAGO — Trade Show Executive (TSE) announced the rankings of the TSE Gold 100 class of 2022.

The Gold 100 shows of 2022 marked an impressive rebound in the trade show industry, with all metrics — NSF of Exhibit Space, Exhibiting Companies and Total Attendance — up significantly from the Gold 100 shows of 2021 numbers. In 2022, the Gold 100 shows spanned 35,064,651 NSF, with 88,018 exhibitors and more than 2.4 million in total attendance.

When comparing the Gold 100 shows of 2022 with those of 2021, excluding shows without consecutive two-year comparisons, the Gold 100 class of 2022 covered 18,408,021 NSF (up 32.3%), featured 46,643 exhibitors (up 42.9%) and attracted 1,292,629 total attendees (up 34.1%).

The Gold 100 shows also represent a massive economic impact to the economies they’re held in, with the shows’ estimated value of exhibit space alone totaling nearly $1.3 billion, based on the average space rate of $36.61 per square foot.
