Tools for Success the Topic of CSPI Annual Conference in March

HIL ANDERSON, SENIOR EDITOR

Washington, DC – The latest tools for success in convention sales will be explored in depth at the Convention Sales Professionals International (CSPI) 2013 Annual Conference in Washington March 12-13.

The conference is titled Toolbox for Success and will help CSPI members sort through the growing selection of mobile apps and other innovations designed to increase sales that are coming into the market. There will also be opportunities to go behind the scenes and learn the details of what it takes to organize a successful convention or trade show in the 21st Century.

“Sometimes it’s difficult for us to take time out to focus on the tools and innovations that enhance our success,” said Cathy Keller, CSPI president. “The 2013 CSPI Annual Conference gives us all a chance to immerse ourselves in these important strategies.”

Trade Show Executive is the signature media sponsor of the Annual Conference, which will be held at the Carnegie Library, a short distance from the Walter E. Washington Convention Center.

Attendees will hit the ground running when the education portion of the event opens March 13 with keynote speaker Corbin Ball, a noted consultant and tech guru. Ball will lay the groundwork for further exploration of social media, WiFi and wireless communications in the events industry.

The conference will still include ample opportunity for networking, including a Culinary Challenge, between amateur chefs from the convention centers and destination marketing organizations. The event begins March 12 with an interactive training program covering convention center sales and operations followed by the opening reception.
