SINGAPORE — The Lion City’s trade show scene is thriving — attributed to the city-state’s strategic location, a business-friendly environment and a contemporary, state-of-the-art infrastructure that makes it a draw for exhibitors and visitors alike.
Named in 2022 as “Best MICE Destination” (Asia), in the M&C Asia Stella Awards, new convention centers and exhibition spaces, such as the Sands Expo and Convention Centre, have increased capacity and flexibility for show organizers.
“It’s the center of Asia, with a high degree of internationalization and a complete infrastructure,” Elaine Chia, the CEO of Comexposium Asia Pacific, said. It debuted its Retail’s Big Show Asia-Pacific this year. It was held June 11-13 at the Sands Expo and Convention Centre.
With an ever-expanding events calendar, Singapore stands poised to expand its position as the leading trade show hub in Southeast Asia.
EXPO REAL, Europe’s largest trade show for property and investment, heard the call, and added the inaugural EXPO REAL Asia Pacific (June 15-17, 2026) to its portfolio, scheduling it alongside the World Cities Summit, June 14–16, 2026, in Singapore.
“We look forward to the co-location of EXPO REAL Asia Pacific beginning with World Cities Summit 2026. Together, the breadth and depth of our events will enhance the overall experience and value for city leaders and delegates,” Hugh Lim, Executive Director at the Centre for Liveable Cities, said.
Organized by the Centre for Liveable Cities (CLC), and the Urban Redevelopment Authority (URA), the strategic co-location of these two events will strengthen the interaction between real estate, infrastructure and investment sectors across the Asia Pacific region.
Government and industry leaders will meet to discuss and debate the challenges of liveable and sustainable cities, to share urban solutions and develop new partnerships, while attendees discover market opportunities for business development and networking.

“With EXPO REAL Asia Pacific, we are expanding our international network and creating a platform for the growing real estate market in the Asia Pacific region in Singapore from 2026,” say Stefan Rummel and Dr. Reinhard Pfeiffer, CEOs of Messe München. “In an environment characterized by new urban development projects and growth, we offer relevant players an ideal opportunity to exchange ideas about markets and projects in the region. Our aim is to tap into an exciting market and promote long-term partnerships.”
With an average annual growth rate of 7.6% until 2030, the real estate market in the Asia Pacific region is widely considered one of the most dynamic global markets. With sustainable venues and green initiatives, numerous urban development projects continue to emerge, seeking groundbreaking solutions in infrastructure and real estate.
While EXPO REAL Asia Pacific specifically addresses these current market needs, it also delivers a platform for real estate, infrastructure and investment decision-makers to meet in an ideal environment to further real estate and infrastructure development.
The Singapore Tourism Board has stepped up to the proverbial plate with its launch of an enhanced version of the In Singapore Incentives and Rewards (INSPIRE) Global 2.0 Programme, providing qualified MICE groups with a range of nearly 80 complimentary ready-made experiences while the Singapore MICE Advantage Programme (SMAP) offers discounted airline tickets, discounted SIM cards and others perks for show organizers.
