Dublin, Ireland – Tarsus Group plc has a new leader in China. Hugh Scrimgeour was named executive chairman of Tarsus China and will oversee the company’s business in the region. He was also made an executive director of Tarsus Group.
Scrimgeour, who had been senior independent director of the company, has more than 20 years experience in exhibition and venue management in China and the United Kingdom. He replaced Gary Marshall, who managed Tarsus’ initiatives in China since 2010.
Marshall will relocate from China to the UK and take charge as COO of Tarsus Group. Both Scrimgeour and Marshall will report to Douglas Emslie, group managing director.
Tarsus’ events in China include Labelexpo Asia in Shanghai and COTTM, a travel event in Beijing.
