SoCal Chapter of IAEE to Hold a Fun Night in Memory of Bob Dallmeyer

HIL ANDERSON, SENIOR EDITOR

Los Angeles, CA – The heart of Los Angeles will be the venue for the First Annual SWIAEE Bob Dallmeyer Charity event organized by the Southwest chapter of the International Association of Exhibitions and Events (SWIAEE).

The gathering will take place Friday May 8 from 4:45 to 8:45 p.m. and will include two of Bob’s favorite pastimes:  socializing with his industry friends and attending the taping of “Real Time with Bill Maher” at the CBS Television City studio on Beverly Blvd. in the Fairfax District.

The gathering will pay tribute to Bob, who died last year after having established a highly respected 51-year career in the exhibition industry. During that time, he received nearly every major award the industry has to offer and also served as the Los Angeles-based Power Lunch correspondent for Trade Show Executive.

The $50 ticket to the SWIAEE event includes a ticket and parking for “Real Time.” The proceeds will go to the IAEE Bob Dallmeyer Education Fund. After the show, an after party with a cash bar will be held at Fiddler’s Bistro on West 3rd St., a few blocks from the CBS studio.

Registration is open through May 3 and is available by clicking the “events” tab on the SWIAEE web site at www.swiaee.com.
