McLean, VA – Robert Simpson joined AMT- The Association For Manufacturing Technology as president-elect on June 2 and will take over as president on October 7. AMT owns IMTS – The International Manufacturing Technology Show held in even-numbered years in Chicago. The show is expected to span over 1.1 million square feet of exhibit space and draw over 90,000 attendees this September. Simpson was most recently corporate vice president and president, Global Plastics Machinery for Milacron Inc. He will replace the current AMT president, John Byrd, who is retiring after five years with the association.
