Services Held for Janet Wright, Past IAEE Chair and Pinnacle Award Recipient

Des Plaines, IL – A memorial service was held November 16 in Illinois for Janet Wright, former chair of the National Association of Exposition Managers, who died earlier in the month at the age of 76.

Wright was 1991 chair of the association, which is now known as the International Association of Exhibitions and Events (IAEE) and received the organization’s Pinnacle Award in 1995.

Wright lived in Des Plaines with her husband, Dr. Thompson Wright, and was the founder of the independent show management firm, The Wright Organization.

She was also a former figure skater who was part of Holiday on Ice in the 1950s. She was a skating judge who was executive director of the Professional Figure Skaters Cooperative, later known as ProSkaters, from 1999-2007.
