SAN ANTONIO — Cvent CONNECT will be held in San Antionio for the first time this year, marking its first edition outside of Las Vegas since 2013.

Set for June 10-13 at the Henry B. González Convention Center and numerous additional venues in San Antonio, the event is predicted to bring approximately $7.06 million in direct economic impact to the city.

Cvent expects more than 3,000 event, marketing and hospitality professionals to attend Cvent CONNECT 2024, with thousands more tuning-in virtually, to discover new industry trends, network and more. More than 200 exhibitors are anticipated at its sold-out trade show.

Why San Antonio

“Cvent has always had a great partnership with the city of San Antonio,” Rachel Andrews, Global Head of Events, Cvent, said. “The city knows Cvent CONNECT well from the exhibitor and sponsorship side, so hosting the conference in San Antonio felt like a natural fit. San Antonio’s central location is also something that attracted us given our attendees are located across the country.”

For those attending the event in person, San Antonio also offers plenty to do outside of Cvent CONNECT. The Cvent team intentionally created the event’s agenda to give attendees time to enjoy the city’s plentiful offerings, like restaurant spots, shopping opportunities and its rich culture and historical heritage.

“From a destination standpoint, San Antonio has a lot to offer, including a deep cultural and historical heritage, delicious cuisine and a plethora of shopping options. We strategically organized the Cvent CONNECT agenda so attendees will have plenty of time to enjoy San Antonio’s attractions and landmarks.

“It’s also great that so many hotels are conveniently located near the convention center, so CONNECT will feel like a truly city-wide event. Our team has worked closely with the Visit San Antonio team to execute an event that spans multiple city properties and venues,” Andrews explained.

Marc Anderson, President and CEO of Visit San Antonio shared that a local host committee representing key stakeholders and partners was formed to facilitate success at Cvent CONNECT 2024.

“Not only has Cvent been, and continues to be, crucial to us as a business partner; now, they will be our cherished guests,” Anderson added. “In fact, more than 70% of Visit San Antonio’s leads come through Cvent’s platform, and we look forward to growing that as a host city.

“This aligns with Visit San Antonio’s recent strategy to strongly pursue key industry meetings and increase corporate and association meetings for our city, further driving this critical sector of our local economy… San Antonio looks forward to warmly welcoming this critical industry meeting and the continued growth of our hospitality industry.”

Cvent CONNECT 2024

“My favorite thing about this year’s event is how intentional we are about the impact our event has — not just on our attendees, but on the city as a whole,” Andrews shared.

Cvent plans host a giveback experience, in partnership with Goodr, to turn Cvent CONNECT 2024’s food surplus into meals for the local community, and a program where attendees can personalize “Cheer Up Kits” for pediatric patients at the Ronald McDonald House charities in San Antonio. They will also offer a Neon Rodeo themed reception and a Lone Star Jam, backstage San Antonio tours and more opportunities for attendees to engage with San Antonio’s unique culture while learning and networking.

“We couldn’t be more excited for people to learn and explore together at Cvent CONNECT. While last year the focus was on the return of our in-person event, this year the goal for our team is to create meaningful attendance. We hope every attendee leaves the event with a sense of purpose and feels inspired,” Andrews said.
