Orlando, FL – The 50 U.S. shows that have bulked up the most in exhibit space in 2010 will be honored at the inaugural Trade Show Executive (TSE) Fastest 50 Awards & Summit, March 9-11, at a black tie ceremony at the Rosen Shingle Creek Resort in Orlando. In addition, the organizers of seven U.S. shows and six overseas events that are the growth leaders percentage-wise and in sheer numbers will be honored with Trade Show Executive’s Grand Awards.

Technology on Display
The TSE Fastest 50 is more than a celebration of getting bigger. It is also about getting smarter.  Having the right tools can pay dividends for all trade show stakeholders – show organizers, exhibitors and attendees – in terms of ROI, efficiency, effectiveness and time, today’s most precious commodities.  As a result, a major component of the Fastest 50 event will be the TSE Innovation Zone.

Designed and sponsored by Freeman, the Trade Show Executive Innovation Zone will include a select group of technology vendors displaying the latest and most promising products that make shows run smoother and more profitably.

Kevin Johnstone, director of trade shows for NAMM, who is one of the most charismatic leaders in the exposition industry, will take delegates on a tech odyssey. He and a camera crew from Convention News Television will visit each exhibitor for a demonstration and Q&A about their products and services. The video clips will be replayed the following day to the audience and will highlight the latest in mobile apps, lead management, registration services and social media tools.  In the spirit of American Idol, the attendees will be the judges and cast their votes live for the best innovation. The top vote-getters will be announced at the awards banquet the next day.

At the Summit
The summit portion of the TSE Fastest 50 Awards & Summit will be another rendition of  the high-quality educational content that has made TSE’s other leading event, the Gold 100 Awards & Summit,  a can’t-miss event for exhibition industry leaders.

Chris DeMoulin, president of Advanstar Communications’ MAGIC Marketplace, will be in the spotlight during TSE’s Power Lunch interview conducted live by Darlene Gudea, president of Trade Show Executive Media Group. The semi-annual MAGIC show has the triple honor of earning the TSE Fastest 50 Award for ranking as one of the fastest-growing shows in the U.S., theTSE Gold 100 award for ranking as one of the largest shows in the U.S.; and the TSE Gold Grand Award for attaining the distinction as the largest semi-annual show.

Burning Springboard
A growth spurt can be an uplifting experience for a show manager as well as a springboard that will carry their event and career to the elite level. But the next step is to maintain a level of expansion that becomes a foundation for long-term success. The session, “Insights, Ideas and Strategies to Keep Your Fast-Growing Events HOT,” addresses the challenges and opportunities faced by show managers who want to keep the momentum going.

Vinnie Polito, 2011 chairman of the International Association of Exhibitions and Events (IAEE) and president of VP International, will moderate the panel discussion. He will also engage the audience on their concerns and ideas for providing top-notch ROI for exhibitors and an overall experience that will keep attendees coming back. Joining Polito is John Stuttard, senior vice president of United Business Media (UBM); Kimberly Hardcastle-Geddes, vice president of Marketing Design Group; and David Audrain, president & CEO, Messe Frankfurt, Inc.

Other sessions will feature tips from negotiation guru Skip Tucker of Karrass Effective Negotiating™, Doug Ducate armed with CEIR research on effective ways to draw attendees from the younger generation, and Gene Burns’ insights on managing the online reputation of your show.

Gathering of Tigers
Rosen’s Shingle Creek covers 230 acres of sunny Florida, including an inviting golf course that will be the venue for the March 9th golf outing sponsored by Atlantic City. As an added attraction, the Fastest 50 Culinary Cook-Off at The Peabody Hotel will be open to non-golfers who will be outfitted with a TSE Fastest 50 chef’s jacket, ideal also for entertaining at home.

Links and lunch are a few of the many networking opportunities for attendees to forge long-lasting personal and professional relationships that will follow them as their shows and their careers continue trending to the upside.
