Rip Rippetoe to Head Up Kentucky Fair Board

Louisville, KY – Rip Rippetoe will take the helm of the Kentucky Fair Board January 1. As president and CEO, he succeeds Harold Workman, who held the position since 1993 and will step down at the end of the year. The Fair Board oversees the Kentucky International Convention Center, which offers 200,000 square feet of prime exhibit space, and the Kentucky Exposition Center, which offers 1.1 million square feet of prime exhibit space and is tied for sixth place on the Trade Show Executive World’s Top Convention Centers rankings. Rippetoe was previously the general manager of the Salt Palace in Salt Lake City and senior vice president, facility & account relations in Las Vegas for Global Experience Specialists (GES). He also served as executive director and CEO of visitor information services for Utah for the 2002 Olympic Games. He most recently provided consulting services as president of Rippetoe Solutions Group, LLC.
