Norwalk, CT – Dennis MacDonald, senior vice president of Reed Exhibitions, will retire June 1 after 21 years with the company, Reed Exhibitions said on May 16. MacDonald told Trade Show Executive (TSE) his plans for the immediate future revolved around enjoying his new free time.
MacDonald was an architect of the successful revival of the National Hardware Show and Lawn & Garden World as the nation’s leading retail home enhancement event. He also worked closely with the National Shooting Sports Foundation in overseeing the Shooting, Hunting and Outdoor Trade (SHOT) Show. Dave Jeannette, who is currently sales manager for the SHOT Show, will take over the responsibilities as event director for SHOT and will report to Ed Several, senior vice president.
