Reed Announces Launch of IBTM India in 2013

Richmond, UK – Reed Travel Exhibitions (RTE), producer of 13 events for the travel and tourism industry, has announced the launch of Incentive, Business Travel and Meetings (IBTM) India, which will be held September 12-14, 2013, at the Grand Hyatt in Mumbai. With the launch of IBTM India, RTE will add to its current portfolio of six incentive, business travel and meeting events on five continents.

These include the Asia-Pacific Incentives & Meetings Expo (AIME) in Melbourne, Australia; Global Exhibition for Incentive, Business Travel, and Meetings (EIBTM) in Barcelona, Spain; Gulf Incentive, Business Travel and Meetings (GIBTM) in Abu Dhabi, Dubai; Americas Incentive, Business Travel and Meetings (AIBTM) in Chicago, IL; China Incentive, Business Travel and Meetings (CIBTM) in Beijing, China; and Business Travel Market, London, UK.

The inaugural IBTM India is expected to draw about 100 vendors to the meetings, incentives, conferences and exhibitions (MICE) industry as well as to business travel professionals. The event will provide a tabletop format for exhibitors to meet with hosted buyers from key associations, corporations and agencies.

“India holds enormous potential for the MICE industry with a projected GDP growth of over 8% in the next five years,” said Craig Moyes, portfolio director of the IBTM Meetings and Events Portfolio, RTE. “The world’s third largest economy is also showing an increase in outbound business, estimated in 2010 to be worth some $600 million (U.S.) for the sector, with projections of a 13% increase in the coming years.”
