NEW YORK — The American Hotel & Lodging Association (AHLA), America’s largest hotel association, and Questex, a leading information services and event company, are joining forces to launch The Hospitality Show (aka “The Show”) June 27-29, 2023 at The Venetian Resort Las Vegas.

The Show will bring together industry leaders and procurement specialists from across the hospitality industry, including leading service providers and suppliers, as well as C-level executives of hotel brands, owners and management companies. It is also targeting executives from restaurants, bars and other related businesses, such as travel companies, gyms, spas and clubs.

The launch goal is 3,000 to 5,000 attendees and 300+ exhibitors and, so far, the initial response has been overwhelming, according to Alexi Khajavi, Questex Hospitality Group President.

“We are the only hospitality event in North America that has the capability of bringing senior leaders across the spectrum, from CEOs of hotel brands to tech companies, third-party management companies and investment funds, under one roof to learn, network and be inspired,” Khajavi said. “We’re also bringing our expertise in matchmaking and hosted buyer events to The Hospitality Show, which will curate intelligent matchmaking for exhibitors with qualified buyers specifically looking for those products and solutions. We’re quite adept at show floor activations in the hospitality industry, which bring hospitality experiences to life for our delegates.”

The three-day event will offer education including presentations by expert speakers, an exhibit hall displaying new products, personalized business matchmaking as well as other networking opportunities.

Planning for this new event started nearly four years ago, according to Khajavi. “We saw an open space in the North American hospitality events space, which is arguably quite saturated, but fragmented along job functions between tech, real estate investment and design,” he said.

“We have strong connections with the owners-operators of hotels, bars and restaurants and we know that these entrepreneurs are the primary decision-makers and are increasingly dealing with more complex and challenging operating environments,” Khajavi added. “At the same time, there’s a lot of innovation in products and solutions for hospitality operations. The sector was ripe for an event that matched these needs.”

AHLA has nearly 32,000 members, and Questex is owner of Hotel Management, with more than 564,000 readers, and a roster of industry events including The International Hospitality Investment Forum, The Annual Hotel Conference, Bar & Restaurant Expo, Vibe Conference and HOTEC Design.
