NEW YORK CITY — Questex announced the acquisition of The Conference Forum and Versalinx Global Events.
The Conference Forum produces experiences connecting professionals in the life sciences market, including DPHARM and Partnership Opportunities in Drug Delivery. Five of its events are in new areas of the pharma industry for Questex, giving it a further penetration into the life sciences value chain, and it has a database of 100,000 qualified pharma professionals.
Versalinx Global Events hosts conferences in pharmaceutical market research and competitive intelligence, such as Pharma Market Research Conference East.
“The life sciences industry is booming with $88.2 billion in sales (2024) and is expected to grow to $269.56 billion by 2034, at a CAGR (Compound Annual Growth Rate) of 12%,” Paul Miller, FCIM, Questex’s CEO, said. “The acquisitions of these assets support our overarching growth strategy focused on both organic and strategic expansion within fast-evolving, high-growth industries, enhancing our powerhouse global healthcare & life sciences portfolio … In addition, Questex, The Conference Forum and Versalinx Global Events all run their businesses with a similar approach — with a laser-like focus on customer growth and a deep understanding of bringing buyers and sellers together in a format that encourages learning, networking and business transactions.”

The Perfect Fit
These assets will join the organization’s Fierce Healthcare and Life Sciences platform and Rhiannon James, Questex’s Group President, Healthcare & Life Sciences, Technology and Wellness, will lead them. The Conference Forum’s Co-Founders Valerie Bowling and Meredith Sands and their teams, as well as Versalinx Global Events Founder Amy Yueh and her team, will join Questex.
“By integrating these new assets into our portfolio, we are solidifying a powerhouse Fierce portfolio and adding to our leading position as a trusted partner to decision makers in the healthcare and life sciences sector,” Miller explained. “As we acquire new assets, we look for a strong fit. As much as Questex will help The Conference Forum and Versalinx Global Events businesses grow to the next level, these acquisitions also come to Questex with capabilities that will help us grow. Additionally, our Centers of Excellence (COE) sits in the middle of the company and works collaboratively with executive leadership and Questex vertical teams to build and grow products that can scale.”
Miller shared that the COE provides best-in-class services focused on performance marketing, content innovation, product and technology, customer experience and event performance, and will support The Conference Forum and Versalinx Global Events through audience, martech tools, community websites, event activations, agency level design and more methods.
