NEW YORK CITY — Questex announced the acquisition of the event and media assets of two publication organizations: Affordable Housing Finance (AHF) and Multifamily Executive (MFE).
This acquisition reinforces Questex’s aggressive growth strategy, extending its global hospitality real estate presence into the U.S. affordable housing and multi-family markets.
AHF organizes AHF Live, a conference and exposition serving affordable housing developers, owners and state housing agencies, while MFE hosts Multifamily Executive Conference, an event for multifamily owners and developers.

“This portion of the real estate sector is thriving and prime for growth,” Paul Miller, FCIM, Questex’s CEO, shared. “We are keen to continue growing our portfolio in this area. There is a nationwide shortage of affordable housing and according to U.S. News & World Report’s 2025–2029 housing market forecast, home prices are projected to increase by approximately 17% from 2024 levels — outpacing inflation and underscoring the critical role of the multi-family and affordable housing sectors in the future of real estate.
“We are committed to growing and expanding in our core markets. This acquisition complements our recent investments in the operational real estate sector which include the acquisition of the NYU International Hospitality Investment Forum (IHIF), the 2024 launch of IHIF in Asia and the launch of BxR, the first U.S. event dedicated to branded residences.”
A Customer-Driven Move and a Perfect Fit
“Many of our customers in the hotel real estate sector have been encouraging Questex to expand into other real estate asset classes as they value our customer-focused approach to helping them build their businesses,” Miller said. “We have been responding to our customers with global expansion in the hotel space and have been pursuing other real estate areas. AHF and MFE fit perfectly with our strategy to expand our leading position in the operational real estate sector.”

Questex is organized into four growth-oriented industry sectors — Hospitality & Operational Real Estate, Life Sciences & Healthcare, Experiential Technology and Wellness — with the goal of reaching dominant positions in the markets.
“These new assets fit perfectly with our strategy and our operational real estate portfolio and expand our Hospitality footprint to real estate in the built environment space,” Miller added. “Additionally, the acquisition enhances and expands our global leadership position as a trusted partner to decision makers across hospitality, real estate and housing finance sectors.”
After these organizations have been successfully integrated, Questex will exploit the growth opportunities of its interconnected businesses and use its centers of excellence to add new products and enhance others.
