New Programs and Top Speakers Highlight June ESCA Conference

Plano, TX – The Exhibition Services & Contractors Association (ESCA) has expanded the session offerings at the 2013 ESCA Annual Summer Educational Conference and lined up leaders from major general service contractors as speakers.

Don Freeman Jr., chairman of Freeman, is among the many familiar names on the speaker roster for the June 23-26 meeting at the La Costa Resort and Spa in Carlsbad, CA. He will be joined by Paul Dykstra, chairman, president and CEO, Viad Corp., parent company of Global Experience Specialists, (GES), and Aaron Bludworth, president and CEO of Fern Exposition & Event Services.

The program, which is still being finalized, also includes a number of speakers from the show management side, including David DuBois, president of the International Association of Exhibitions and Events; Lew Shomer, executive director of the Society of Independent Show Organizers; and David Audrain, president & CEO of Clarion Events North American and SISO chairman.

New educational programs include a three-and-a-half hour session for small businesses owners and the Leadership Development Workshop, which will be led by Jamie Hasty, vice president of SESCO HR Consultants. Hasty will also present Employers’ Guide to Healthcare Reform.

Early-bird registration, which ends April 19, is $995 for members and $300 for companions. The discounted rate for ESCA is $220/night at La Costa. Regular price starts at $309/night.
