New President Named at ENK International

HIL ANDERSON, SENIOR EDITOR

New York, NY – Thomas Nastos, who has spent the past decade running a clothing manufacturing and distribution company, was named president of fashion trade show organizer ENK International.

The appointment filled a position that had been vacant for more than a year following Luis Padilla’s resignation for family reasons.

Nastos has been president and CEO of Endurance LLC since 1999 and a member of the ENK board of directors since 2007. He and Elyse Kroll, chairman of the board and chief creative officer, will be directly involved in the day-to-day operations of ENK. ENK produces 22 fashion events annually in New York City, Las Vegas and Los Angeles.

“The company’s acquisition of The WSA Show was an important step in expanding ENK’s product categories,” Nastos said. The two annual editions of The WSA Show covered approximately 1.1 million net square feet in 2007 and were ranked No. 4 and 5 in the Trade Show Executive Gold 100 rankings.

Diane Stone retired as COO of The WSA Show this Spring. ENK has not announced a replacement.

Forstmann Little & Co., the majority stakeholder in ENK since 2006, said Nastos’ long record in the apparel, footwear and textile markets gave him a strong background in operation as well as an appreciation of “the perspective of both exhibitors and retailers as we expand the company’s product platforms.”
