New York, NY – Messe Frankfurt North America has announced the launch of Avanprint USA, a show that will bring innovative digital printing concepts to the fashion design industry when it debuts in conjunction with the Summer 2017 Texworld USA at the Javits Center in New York.

The launch will come on the heels of a sister show — Avanprint Paris — that debuted in February. For the New York show, Messe Frankfurt has partnered with World Textile Information Network (WTiN) to bring together digital printing pioneers with North America’s top apparel design and sourcing personnel to showcase innovations in digital textile printing technology.

Avanprint USA is expected to provide fashion textile buyers an opportunity to better understand the benefits of advanced printing technology for their businesses. It will feature live demonstrations of digital textile printing technologies as well as a textile print trend area.

In announcing the show, Messe Frankfurt North America President Dennis Smith said, “We have seen the tremendous growth that the digital printing industry is experiencing and have sought to provide an innovative business platform where our forward-thinking exhibitors and visitors can connect directly with these technology leaders.”

WTiN, which itself has a portfolio of B2B magazines, exhibition newspapers and conferences, brings extensive insights about the global textile industry to the newly formed partnership. Its research shows that the U.S. digital textile market is the fifth-largest worldwide, accounting for 5.4% of overall production capacity. In addition, WTiN reports that digital textile production capacity in the US grew by an annualized rate of 30% in the first half of 2016.

In announcing news of Avanprint USA, WTiN Managing Director Mark Jarvis said that “the USA has become an exciting, expanding market for digital textile printing.” WTiN also produces the World Textile Summit; Dig-Tex Conferences, the Asia-Pacific Nonwovens Symposium and the Future Materials Awards.

Avanprint USA will become the latest addition to Messe Frankfurt’s portfolio of textile trade shows under the Texpertise banner that already counts 50 trade shows worldwide. It will join four other New York City shows under the Messe Frankfurt banner: Texworld USA, Apparel Sourcing USA, Home Textiles Sourcing Expo and another new show, Boulevard Prêt-à- Sale.

Techtextil North America, also produced by Messe Frankfurt, will be staged next year at Chicago’s McCormick Place. Texprocess Americas, the largest North American show for equipment and technology for sewn products, is set to be held in 201 at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta.
