Düsseldorf, Germany — Messe Düsseldorf is the new organizer for Saw EXPO, a trade fair for the sawing and industrial-cutting industry. “This move perfectly fits in with our growing Metals and Flow Technologies portfolio,” said Friedrich-Georg Kehrer, Global Portfolio Director at Messe Düsseldorf.

Starting in 2021, the expo will take place every two years in Friedrichshafen, Germany. “This is an ideal destination since many producers come from the south of Germany and the neighboring countries of Switzerland, Austria and Italy,” explained Daniel Ryfisch, Deputy Director of the Global Portfolio Metals and Flow Technologies at Messe Düsseldorf.

A leading organizer of international exhibitions in several industrial sectors, Messe Düsseldorf also produces the top trade show for the tube and pipe industry, Tube Düsseldorf, held every two years in Düsseldorf, Germany. Starting in 2020, Saw EXPO will be held as part of Tube Düsseldorf, organized as a special pavilion for sawing and cutting within one of the fairground halls. Saw EXPO will also be featured at Tube China 2020 in Shanghai.

The Messe Düsseldorf Group includes its expo center and fair grounds in Düsseldorf, which hosts nearly 30,000 exhibitors and 1.5 million visitors annually. The company is also among the top exhibition organizers on the global scale, with a portfolio that includes more than 70 proprietary events, joint events and contracted events around the world. China has been a big growth market in recent years. According to company statements, China now now ranks second, after Russia, among the most important foreign markets of the Messe Düsseldorf Group.
