CHICAGO — Meetings and events industry veteran journalist Marlene Goldman has joined the Trade Show Executive team as Executive Editor, effective April 1. In a career that has spanned more than 20 years, she served as Managing and Destinations Content Developer for Meetings Today for several years and her articles have appeared in variety of publications, including Global Traveler, BBC Travel, American Way and National Geographic Traveler. She also authored two guidebooks, The Little Black Book of San Francisco and and the Little Black Book of Los Angeles, and has worked as a freelance editor for several outlets including ALHI.com.

A native New Yorker, now based in San Francisco, Marlene started her journalism career working in the music industry, and has interviewed everyone from Blondie to James Brown. She graduated from New York University with a Bachelor of Arts in journalism.
“This exciting opportunity feels like an appropriate new beginning as the trade show industry continues to make a comeback,” Goldman said. “I’m looking forward to working with this talented group of industry veterans and getting back to what I love — producing content for an award-winning publication.
