MEXICO CITY — The Mexico City Comic Con debuts March 21-24, 2019 and is jointly produced by H.A. Bruno Events Mexico, MAD Event Management, LLC and Pepsi Center WTC.
“We have been producing events in the pop culture space for over 20 years, so the ability to produce a world-class comic convention in Mexico City is exactly in our lane at MAD,” MAD CEO Marty Glynn told Trade Show Executive. “We are expecting this to turn into a destination event in Mexico, Latin America and the U.S. within a short amount of time.”
As part of the convention, MAD will also produce C3: Comic Creator Conference.
Additionally, Glynn said, “we are excited to be positioned with the Pepsi Center WTC, whose vision for this event and forward thinking bring an energy that’s contagious. It’s been my goal for some time to collaborate with a facility, as I believe strongly that the North American business model for facilities is too narrow. This broad approach to have a facility as an incubator partner is unique and, in my opinion, the future for some — if not all — cities in the U.S.”
Pepsi Center General Director Ed Kelley thinks the combination of a “great venue, professional operator, superb talent and wonderful fans” bodes well for a successful event.
