TSE bids a very fond farewell to long-time Editor-at-Large Carol Andrews.

CHICAGO — Carol Andrews, who has worked with Trade Show Executive since 2008, is turning in her keyboard to enjoy her next chapter.

“Carol’s deep knowledge of our industry and writing and research skills have been an invaluable asset to TSE,” said Gabrielle Weiss, TSE’s VP and Editor-in-Chief. “We will miss her expertise and the amazing attitude she brought to everything she did — especially the research projects she has led over her years with TSE.”

During her career as TSE’s Editor-at-Large, Andrews, an award-winning B2B writer, managed special projects for the enterprise including TSE’s Gold 100 data compilation. Andrews work was featured every month in TSE’s monthly column, the TSE Dashboard. She will be succeeded by Carri Jensen, who has been promoted from Manager of Directories to Director of Research.

Andrews had a long and successful career even before she joined TSE . She started out in 1986 when she was hired by Darlene Gudea, who now serves as TSE’s President Emeritus, as an assistant editor at Tradeshow Week. She rose through the ranks to become Editor-in-Chief.

“It has been a pleasure to be part of such a dynamic industry for more than 30 years,” Andrews said. “I’ve made lifelong friends and am now looking forward to traveling and spending more time with loved ones.”

Andrews has earned multiple writing awards from APEX and the American Society of Business Publication Editors (ASBPE). She has been active in IAEE as well as the Trade Show Exhibitors Association and the National Coalition of Black Meeting Planners. She is a graduate of Antioch College in Ohio and earned a Master’s degree in Mass Communications from California State University, Northridge.

TSE’s staff wish her well as she embarks on her next adventure.
