LAS VEGAS — Governor Steve Sisolak in September named Julie Pazina, national sales director for Edlen Electrical Exhibition Services, to Nevada’s Commission on Tourism. The commission includes the lieutenant governor, eight members appointed by the governor and the chief administrative officers of the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority and the Reno-Sparks Convention and Visitors Authority, among others. Pazina is serving a term that will conclude June 30, 2021.

“The Commission on Tourism is really focused on partnering with Travel Nevada to promote domestic and international tourism to the state,” Pazina said. “There are so many unique destinations close to the convention centers in Las Vegas and Reno. Great Basin National Park, for example, claims some of the darkest night skies left in the United States. It would be ideal to collaborate with trade show and convention organizers to share unique these opportunities with attendees prior to their events in order to enhance the attendee experience.”

Pazina joined Edlen Electrical Exhibition Services in 2006 and currently oversees sales in the Las Vegas market, as well as regional and national sales efforts. Based in Las Vegas, Edlen serves more than 5,000 events annually, providing exclusive, preferred or recommended services in more than 200 convention facilities around the country.

Pazina’s experience includes a six-year term on the board of the Las Vegas Hospitality Association. She is also a member of the International Association of Exhibitions and Events, which named her its 2011 Young Professional of the Year and the 2019 Woman of Achievement. She currently serves on the International Association of Venue Managers’ Convention Center and Industry Affairs Committees.
