Joe Loggia Turned 50 on April 6

TSE STAFF

Woodland Hills, CA – The year was 1959 and throughout the world, change was happening at a breakneck pace. Our taste in music shifted from Doo-Wop to the Beatles [thank goodness!] and crew cuts gave way to long hair. Consider a few other facts:  Fidel Castro took power from Fulgencio Batista who fled the island nation…..The Dalai Lama escaped to India…..Britain, Turkey and Greece signed a joint agreement giving Cyprus independence…..Alaska and Hawaii became the 49th and 50th states……The opening of the St. Lawrence Seaway created a navigational channel from the Atlantic Ocean to all of the Great Lakes…..Dwight D. Eisenhower was President….NASA released the first pictures of earth taken from space…..And to top it off, on April 6, 1959, Joe Loggia entered the world, and things have not been quite the same ever since.

Please join in an email tribute to Joe Loggia, president and CEO of Advanstar, who celebrates his 50th birthday, by sending birthday greetings to him at  jloggia@ Advanstar.com.  Rick Simon, president and CEO of United Service Companies, kicks off the tribute with this greeting: “Joe, the people from AARP are waiting for you at their office.”
