Arlington, VA – Bill Warnes passed away yesterday, surrounded by family and friends, after a battle with Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis. A former high-level official of the Department of Commerce, Warnes was president and founder of Marketing International Corp. with his wife Carolyn, based in Arlington, VA. Warnes started out organizing pavilions in Latin America and later expanded to Europe and Asia, specializing in the defense industry.
Bob Dallmeyer, a columnist for TSE, said, “I worked together with Bill on air shows and other events for more than a decade. He was active in IAEE and he was the consummate professional. He will be greatly missed.” The service will be Saturday, May 3rd at St. Alban’s Episcopal Church on the grounds of the Washington National Cathedral.
