LONDON — Informa Markets is preparing for the continuing reality of virtual and hybrid events through a new partnership with the Virtual Events Institute (VEI). The industry leader will roll out the VEI certification training to its 4,000-plus employees globally — more than 1,000 colleagues have already registered to date.
Informa Markets delivers more than 450 events in 40 countries each year, including digital and hybrid events, specialist digital content and actionable data solutions, in addition to live events. In 2020, it delivered some of the world’s largest digital events.
The VEI Certification Program is delivered on demand and includes 10 modules, providing a step-by-step guide for all event disciplines, across sales, marketing, content and operations.
It relies on self-paced exercises, exams and downloadable resources, with the focus on upskilling existing event professionals with new knowledge and tools. Training modules include Increasing Audience Engagement, Strategic Content Design, Monetizing Virtual Events, Measuring Event Success and Building an Online Community.
