AMSTERDAM – Informa Markets has rescheduled trade show dates in Asia and the U.S. The company confirmed new dates for its CPhI pharma shows in Osaka, Japan, Bangkok and Philadelphia.
CPhI South East Asiamwill be held July 1-3 at the Challenger 2, IMPACT Centre in Bangkok. Last year the show had 7,000 attendees and more than 280 exhibitors in 4,482 net sqm. CPhI Japan hosted 20,000 attendees and more than 550 exhibitors in 2019 and will now be held Sept. 30-Oct. 2, at the Intex Osaka Exhibition Center in Osaka, Japan. CPhI North America, which saw 5,100 attendees and more than 570 exhibitors in 2019 was originally scheduled for May 5-7. This show moves its dates to Sept. 9-11 at the Pennsylvania Convention Center in Philadelphia.
Organizers set the new dates after a detailed review of attendee requirements, event feasibility and governmental input.
“We wanted to be as proactive as possible in our approach, reacting quickly and listening to local governments and our audiences—who are our absolute priority,” said Adam Andersen, Group Director of the Pharma Portfolio at Informa Markets. “By announcing the three new dates together, we aim to provide more certainty to our exhibitors and visitors and better information to make more concrete travel and business arrangements for this year’s events.”
According a statement, Informa executives made the decision on the new dates in conjunction with advice from global health bodies, governments and industry on the continually evolving best practice health considerations and ongoing travel restrictions. CPhI Pharma organizers are working closely with local authorities to ensure the highest levels of safety for its customers and attendees.
Currently, CPhI’s other events, CPhI Korea, CPhI Middle East & Africa, CPhI India and CPhI Worldwide, will be held on their planned dates. Also, no changes are anticipated for the CPhI China event, June 22-24, in Shanghai, China.
